DARPA is looking for innovative technology to support the Space Force's efforts to respond to real-time threats in orbit by rapidly launching new payloads or tapping into commercial constellations. The goal is to expand the scope of gap-filler capabilities the U.S. military can leverage in a crisis.

The Space Base Delta 1 commander, U.S. Space Force Col. Kenneth Klock, visited Maui to assess infrastructure support and observe mission operations at the Maui Space Surveillance Complex. He met with leadership from the 15th Space Surveillance Squadron and evaluated infrastructure requirements.

Lockheed Martin has received a $514 million U.S. Space Force contract to build two GPS IIIF satellites, supporting constellation modernization. The contract includes Space Vehicles 23 and 24, which will add anti-jam features, digital payloads, and upgraded civilian navigation signals. This brings the total GPS 3F orders to 14 satellites.

The visit included meetings with personnel, discussions on space-enabled communications, and observations of various missions. Bentivegna's spouse, Mrs. Cathy Bentivegna, also engaged with organizations supporting military families.

The US Naval Research Laboratory has received a transportable satellite tracking antenna system from the US Space Force's Space Systems Command to expand joint satellite tracking and testing capabilities. The system was transferred to the NRL's Blossom Point Tracking Facility in Maryland. This move aims to boost the lab's satellite testing capabilities.
