Lockheed Martin has been awarded a $104 million contract to upgrade the Spanish Navy's F-100 frigates. The contract includes procurement of long-lead materials and early engineering work for the mid-life upgrade of Spain's Álvaro de Bazán-class frigates. This upgrade will enhance the capabilities of the Spanish Navy's most advanced surface combatants.
