Hanwha Aerospace and Thales have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to integrate Hanwha's Chunmoo guided missiles with Thales' X-Fire launchers. Hanwha Aerospace and Thales signed a Memorandum of Understanding to integrate their technologies for long-range missiles. The agreement was made at Eurosatory 2026, a land warfare exhibition in Paris. This partnership aims to enhance their capabilities in missile development.

France has selected a combination of MBDA and Safran to supply a multiple rocket launcher, rejecting competing bids from Thales, ArianeGroup, Lockheed Martin, and Hanwha Aerospace. The contract underscores France's efforts to enhance its artillery capabilities. The selection highlights the country's preference for domestic defense industries

Hanwha presents its K9A2 self-propelled howitzer, Chunmoo multiple rocket launcher, and air-defence systems at Eurosatory. The K9 is currently in service or on order with 10 countries, including six NATO members. Hanwha is expanding its European partnerships through this exhibition.
