The US Navy plans to homeport up to nine medium landing ships at Pearl Harbor to support Marine Corps operations in the Pacific. The plan includes constructing a concrete roll-on, roll-off ramp and modifying existing berthing facilities. This will enhance the Navy's ability to conduct area denial and sensing operations.
