The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and Honeywell Aerospace have successfully flight-tested a quantum sensing technology for aircraft navigation. The test involved a magnetic navigation system installed on an Embraer 170 jet, which made a round-trip journey over the Pacific Ocean. This technology has the potential to improve aircraft navigation capabilities.
