Australia and Japan have completed successful field trials of a jointly developed high-energy laser system called Boobook. The trials took place at test sites in South Australia, including the Cultana Training Area and the Defence Science and Technology Group's Edinburgh facility. This project marks the first co-development effort between the two countries.
