KONGSBERG has added a US-built radar to its remote weapon systems to enhance drone detection and countermeasures. The radar, built by Echodyne, has been integrated into KONGSBERG's PROTECTOR RS4 and RS6 remote weapon stations. This upgrade enables the systems to detect and shoot down drones.

Honeywell Aerospace tested an integrated counter-drone system at a CENTCOM event, using AI-driven software to detect and mitigate simulated drone threats. The system paired sensors and effectors to defend a simulated airfield. The demonstration was part of the EXTiC 26-2 technology experimentation event.
