KONGSBERG has added a US-built radar to its remote weapon systems to enhance drone detection and countermeasures. The radar, built by Echodyne, has been integrated into KONGSBERG's PROTECTOR RS4 and RS6 remote weapon stations. This upgrade enables the systems to detect and shoot down drones.
Leonardo DRS has adapted its ground-based counter-drone technology for use at sea, creating the Maritime-Mission Equipment Package (M-MEP). The M-MEP detects, identifies, tracks, and defeats drones threatening ships. It features a modular design for use across various platforms.
