A KC-135R Stratotanker damaged in a fatal mid-air collision over Iraq in March has been repaired with a donor tail and is transiting back to the US. The aircraft was captured at RAF Mildenhall, UK, displaying a replacement vertical stabilizer. The incident in March resulted in the loss of another Stratotanker and six fatalities.
