The Japan Air Self-Defense Force's XEC-2 Electronic Warfare Stand-Off Jammer aircraft has begun operational flight testing with the Air Development and Test Wing at Gifu Air Base. The aircraft first flew in March 2026 and is now undergoing test and evaluation. The XEC-2 is designed for electronic warfare and stand-off jamming capabilities.
