The US has received a new Air Force One, arriving faster than expected, to fill a critical gap in presidential security. The Air Force's VC-25B Bridge aircraft has officially arrived, replacing the aging original fleet. This new aircraft will provide reliable coverage for presidential security needs.
L3Harris has delivered the first VC-25B presidential transport jet, converted from a Boeing 747-8I business jet, in a 10-month process. The White House has begun retiring the ageing VC-25A jets. This new aircraft will serve as the new Air Force One.
The new Air Force VC-25B 'Bridge' jet has joined the Presidential Airlift Group and will undergo testing before ferrying the President. The aircraft has received its new livery and government modifications, providing secure continuity for the commander in chief. The VC-25B will begin its initial commissioning flights at Joint Base Andrews.
