National Guard Aviators Assist in Dinosaur Fossil Airlift

National Guard aviators from Utah and Nevada used UH-60 Black Hawk, UH-72 Lakota, and CH-47 Chinook helicopters to airlift dinosaur fossils in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. The mission was to assist the Natural History Museum of Utah and North Carolina in retrieving the fossils. The unique operation showcased the versatility of military aviation assets.
