The 1st Helicopter Squadron is transitioning from UH-1N Hueys to new helicopters, marking the beginning of the end for the UH-1N. The squadron is activating a new unit to facilitate this transition. The process is expected to take time, with much work still to be done before the UH-1N is fully retired.
