A Chinese destroyer involved in a fatal collision last summer has returned to frontline service in the South China Sea. The Type 052D-class guided-missile destroyer Guilin (164) was spotted with a combined flotilla under the People’s Liberation Army’s Southern Theater Command. Sister ships also operated in the area.
