The Washington National Guard is testing Project Homeland, a modernization initiative that uses AI to enhance command and control capabilities for domestic emergency response. The project is being utilized during the FIFA World Cup 2026 operations in Seattle to improve situational awareness and decision-making. Guard personnel are using the AI-enabled Maven Smart System to support public safety and homeland security missions.
