South Korea's Navy has tested a humanoid robot called PIBOT as a potential sailor on a naval vessel. The robot was able to grip the ship's rudder controls and hold its heading during a combat experiment at a ship-handling simulator. This test is part of the Navy's efforts to address recruitment shortages.
