The US Senate is pursuing funding to replace four MH-6 helicopters and two MC-130J special operations transports lost during a rescue operation in Iran. The draft legislation allocates $127 million for the replacement of these aircraft. The funding is intended to cover the costs of the aircraft destroyed while recovering a downed American F-15E crew.
