The US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command has developed an improved M240 bipod with enhanced durability and manufacturing simplicity. The new bipod features a single-piece Lower Leg, replacing the previous assembly that required welding five separate components. This update is the result of a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with Maine Tool and Machine.
