Lockheed Martin and Saildrone successfully launched Joint Air-to-Ground Missiles from an unmanned surface vehicle during the U.S. Navy's Rim of the Pacific exercise. The test marked the first missile launches from a Saildrone platform and took place off the coast of Hawaii. The launch was sponsored by the U.S. Navy Fleet Experimentation Program.
