The U.S. Army has awarded a $581 million contract to build a new plant for manufacturing IMX-104 explosive used in artillery shells and mortar rounds. The contract aims to address a production gap that has slowed the Army's ammunition buildup. Nitradyn LLC will design, construct, and commission the new plant.
