The Pentagon is utilizing open architecture to rapidly upgrade stealth bombers and fighters, such as the B-21 and F-35, by decoupling software from hardware. This approach breaks proprietary barriers and enables seamless data sharing. The use of open architecture is also driving the development of JADC2.
