A Thai company has secured its first export contract for the AWAV 8×8, an armored amphibious vehicle, to be used by the Philippine Marines. The vehicle is designed to carry troops across water and onto beaches. The Thai company beat out rival defense companies from South Korea, Turkey, and the Czech Republic.
