Raytheon has secured a $1.1 billion contract to produce nearly 2,000 AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air missiles for the US military and foreign customers. The AIM-9X is the most advanced infrared tracking short-range air-to-air and surface-to-air missile. The contract aims to expand production to meet global demand.
