Kymeta has secured a $20 million order from the US Department of Defense for over 100 Osprey u8 satellite communications terminals and related connectivity services. The order includes resilient GEO-LEO connectivity solutions. This contract highlights the Pentagon's investment in advanced satellite communications technology.

The US Army is testing the deployment of M119 howitzers with MV-22B Osprey aircraft, allowing light artillery units to shoot and relocate quickly. This combination enables units to avoid enemy surveillance drones and counter-battery systems.

The 1st Special Operations Wing participated in Exercise Northern Strike 26-2 to advance aircrew readiness and generate specialized capabilities. The exercise involved joint operations with the US Marine Corps, including refueling and dynamic airspace management. Air Commandos operated alongside USMC KC-130J Super Hercules and MV-22B Osprey aircraft.
